Interviewee also recounts his performance which merited the Outstanding Police Officer Award of 1971 in the Santa Ana, California police department.

A practicing attorney, author, and member of a pioneer Orange County, California family gives some history of Santa Ana and Anaheim, such as the 1933 earthquake, and the damage to Santa Ana; effects of the Depression in the area. Notes many pioneer residents including Madame Modjeska and her husband, Count Bozenta.
